WHAT WE DO

Every organization and individual has the capacity to be courageous. That’s a good thing because courage is a performance enhancer. When you are being courageous, you are behaving out of your “better self” – meaning, you are stretching beyond what’s comfortable, taking on greater challenges, and speaking with more authority and confidence. And when you do those things, you free up space for others to do those things as well. When every person is showing up to work each day with just a little bit more courage, the net effect can be transformative, ultimately resulting in a Courageous Culture.

The first step toward creating a Courageous Culture is to define a future that’s worth following and everyone can rally around. Executing on that vision requires building bold leaders, the second step. Courageous Leaders have to make tough decisions in the face of stiff resistance. But even the most decisive leader needs to enlist followers. So leaders mobilize Courageous Teams, the third step. When teams of people are working courageously together, they challenge conventions, the status quo, and each other…in a good way. They know how to get the best out of themselves and each other. Finally, creating a Courageous Culture requires that every individual throughout the organization continually grow and progress. Courageous Development, step four, involves individual skill development.
